Ultimate List of Free Web Icons

icons.JPGLooking for web icons of the free variety? Here is a list of the best ones that I have found. If you have others worthy to of being included in this “best of” list, leave a comment and I’ll keep the list updated. And now, the icons:


Best Free Web Icons Ever:

  • The Silk icon collection may be the most popular ever…period. With over 1,000 icons. They are beautiful. This may be all you need:

  • The Sweetie collection also rocks. 200+ icons under the CC-Attribution ShareAlike license:

  • Utombox has some great 3-d icons of some the Web 2.0 sites you probably use in your blog (Technorati, etc). They’ve got several WordPress themes as well:

  • For a solid set of all-purpose icons, try the Drunkey-love collection. 100+ icons in PNG format:

  • Ganato Design sends out icon love with a bunch of beautiful 3-d icons in PSD format. So it will require you to do a little Photoshopping to save them in your favorite format. But as you’ll see, they ROCK!

  • [Added] Miniajax offers up a nice collection icons of Web 2.0 social media sites. They come in PNG & PSD giving you a lot of control.

    Ok, I’ve been to your blog and love what you’ve done with the theme! I need to get some sleep now, but I’d be glad to know how you got the menu buttons at the top to work. I’ve tried the code from TypoXP reloaded guy’s page, but it keeps dropping the menu in below my top line. Any suggestions on how I might spruce this thing up would be great.

    I look forward to checking your blog out further.
