I have been keeping an eye on the development of WordPress 2.7 which brings in several new and very cool features.  A lot of that is behind the scenes in the Admin section, but some of it will be readily available.  A new system for Comments is one of the features I’ve been excited about.

So, a big congratulations! to the WordPress Team!  Here’s their write-up on the release.  They’ve worked really hard, and I’m jazzed to see what all it holds.  I’ll be upgrading soon.  This will also be a test to see if my first publicly released WordPress theme, Contender, survives the upgrade without needing a fix
