A Fun Day for WhyPad with Who’s.Amung.Us

Wow!  Today was my biggest day ever for WhyPad as far as traffic goes.  And I’ve gotta tell ya, that’s just fun!  800+ page views, and there are still a couple of hours left to go. Compared to 200-300 on average, excluding weekends when that gets divided in half.

Contender - A Free WordPress Theme Released

If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice that WhyPad has a new look.  Hopefully a better look, but certainly new. The new theme is called Contender, and is based on the venerable Kubrick.  I am releasing it here under the GPL for your blogging pleasure.  There’s no need for a demo site.  What you’re seeing here at WhyPad is pretty much what you get in the download.

WordPress Child Theme Options-News Released

WordPress is ramping up to version 2.7 which will introduce several new concepts to the WP community.  One of those is the idea of Child Themes, which Justin Tadlock of ThemeHybrid is already a huge proponent.  Justin has done some wonderful work on several WordPress themes that make it incredibly easy to create a professional, highly function site.
